The foremost aim of the department is to prepare ideal Physical Education teacher trained in every aspect of life so that they are competent and versatile in dealing with future demands of the society.
Vision of the Department
The Department of Physical Education, Yoga and Sports Science provides academic programs in B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., Ph. D. and Six week certificate course in Yoga. Our vision for the future includes adding Diploma course in Sports Management and Yogic Science. We aim to provide exemplary programs in these areas.
Mission of the Department
The Department of Physical Education, Yoga and Sports Science is dedicated to and focused on the development of physical, mental, social and intellectual aspects of the students. All the programs within the department are recognized be the NCTE and we are preparing to incorporate with NEP 2020 . The department is dedicated to providing a high quality education and career preparation with the idea of excellent teaching being the centre of our mission. Our students teach in a variety of settings, including schools, sports arenas, fitness centres, community, public health organizations, physical therapy clinics, and outdoor recreation endeavours.
