Health Center

Located near the University Computer Centre, the Health Centre caters to the needs of students, campus residents, and University employees. One Medical Officer, along with assisting staff, is posted at the Centre. From time to time, specialist doctors from the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) visit the Health Centre.

It is proposed that the Health Centre will be shifted to a separate building in the near future. During the year 2010–11, more than 7,174 patients were examined and treated at the Centre.

The Health Centre is equipped with an Electrocardiography (ECG) machine and a Chemical Blood Analyzer for conducting various blood tests. It also provides 24-hour ambulance services and emergency care, with doctors available on call round the clock. The Centre offers limited in-patient facilities as well.

A 24-hour ambulance facility has been made available by the Health Centre.
